ZEN BODY BOOT CAMP

Ever wonder how boxers get those great physiques?  Whether we are training inside or outside our Zen Body Boot Camp will show you how.  Incorporating punches as well as athletic drills all designed to get you ready for the ring!  No plans on getting in a ring soon?  No worries. Train like a boxer and you’ll be ready for whatever punches life throws your way.  Our high-energy, fat-burning workout incorporates traditional high and low impact moves with athletic aerobic movements.  In this format, you’ll experience the feeling of a great workout while working up a great sweat.  Our training programs are suitable for all levels of fitness and exercise experience.

In some of our classes the instructor will lead you through a series of three-minute punch combinations intermixed with 30 seconds of athletic-style conditioning drills. The punch combinations include jabs, hooks, uppercuts, bobs, and slips.  The 30 second segment will include jumping, jumping jacks, pushups, jabs, and lots of other heart pumping moves.

In other classes strength training will pack new muscle onto your frame.  Strength training will also help you burn fat more efficiently and improve your bone density.  During your weight or strength training routine, you’ll not only burn 400 – 600 calories, but also maintain a significant metabolism boost throughout the day.  We use hand weights and medicine balls to guarantee you’ll burn calories while giving your muscles a great workout. These classes will present a challenge for even an experienced athlete.  Have fun and get fit at the same time! Our Boot Camps will strengthen your heart and lungs as you burn calories at a high rate.

Our circuit training methodology alternates strength training exercises with aerobic activities to give you two workouts in one. We combine intervals of cardio drills and muscle conditioning exercises to provide you with the ultimate circuit workout.  Whether we are inside or outside you can expect the unexpected in these full-body Boot Camp classes, which are packed with lots of variety and tons of fun.

Zen Body classes focus on 5 fundamental components of sport and fitness:

Strength - Drills designed to help you build muscle tone, as well as give you the conditioning you need to excel at sports, get more out of recreational activities, and maintain stamina during your daily life.

Cardio - Drills designed to help you build cardiovascular endurance and burn calories at a high rate. Cardiovascular fitness is a special form of muscular endurance. It is the efficiency of the heart, lungs, and vascular system in delivering oxygen to the working muscle tissues so that prolonged physical work can be maintained.

Core - Drills designed to strengthen the abs and back.  These muscles help control movements, transfer energy, shift body weight and move in any direction which is critical not only in any sporting activity but also in the activates of daily life.

Balance - Drills designed to increase ones agility which is the basic skill needed in practically every sport.  Changing your center of gravity to match your moves is the key to efficiency in sport. Agility is what allows us to move through the full range of motion smoothly and confidently.

Flexibility - Drills designed to help you decrease your risk of injury as well as increase joint range of motion and enhance sport performance.
