Our teaching style is guided by personal experience that always keeps in mind that it is people that make a system, not the other way around.  We teach in a  friendly manner helping each student achieve the goals presented by each level and allowing the student to explore and advance at their own pace. This reflects the Zen principle that states that every human being is capable to find her or his own way.

We offer 11 classes a week, including a 30 minute optional sparring class for those individuals that would like to compete or challenge themselves a bit more.  Students of age 13 or older can choose up to 5 classes each week.

Muay Thai Kickboxing

Our Kickboxing program is based on Dutch style Muay Thai. Our emphasis is on punching combinations and kicking, in addition to clinch work, elbows and knees.  Students who are 13 and older are welcome to join this program.

Our kickboxing program exposes students to a progression of techniques and training tools such as punching bags, focus mitts, Muay Thai pads, slappers, partner training and other fitness tools such as medicine balls, dumbbells, skipping ropes, strengthening straps, and more.

The training includes a comprehensive and progressive fitness program that it is embedded into each kickboxing class. This fitness element is achieved through strength training,  cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility and coordination. The training is organized in a way that allows the student time to recover after a hard training sessions by rotating the intensity of the workouts. The rotation of intensity of our classes and the sequencing of exercises prevents overtraining. Our bodies are able to recover, we get stronger, and more flexible over time. 

We have adopted a system that allows the student to learn the techniques in a progressive and logical way. Our kickboxing program is divided into three levels.  Level I classes for beginners has an emphasis on stances, movement and punching in addition to punching combinations and kicks.  Our level II intermediate class adds more complicated punching combinations and introduces the student to punching and kicking combinations. The level lII advanced class introduces knees, elbows, clinches, more complicated combinations of punching and kicking as well as more complicated kicks.  We recognize advancement in the program with a different coloured belt for each class.  The colours of the belts are taken from the colours found in the Thai flag where Muay Thai originates.  White for beginners, blue for Intermediate and red for Advanced.
