Sivananda Hatha Yoga

This form of yoga developed by Swami Sivananda mainly focuses on the practitioner’s well being using five principles: proper relaxation, exercise, breathing, diet and positive thinking and meditation. The yoga postures work systematically on all parts of the body – stretching and toning muscles and ligaments, keeping the spine and joints flexible and improving the circulation. Each posture is usually followed by a relaxation so as to release tension in muscles and to rest the whole system. The postures and relaxation are continued from beginning to end by breathing fully and rhythmically, making use of all your lung capacity and increasing the intake of oxygen.


This form of yoga is open to all ages and all experience levels.

Power Yoga

Originally derived from Ashtanga yoga, this system works on the basis that your body needs to be warmed up before and while you are stretching. Power yoga is an ideal way to start a fitness program as well as an ideal complement to another sport or fitness program. It teaches one about discipline, self-awareness and is a simple method to develop mindfulness. This form of yoga requires one to synchronize breathing with body movement thereby bringing individual awareness into both.


Classes are lively, energetic, flowing classes synchronizing breath with movement. Build strength, flexibility, and concentration. Cleanse the body and calm the mind. Power Yoga classes do not follow a set sequence of postures. You can always expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout combined with breath work.


This form of yoga is open to all ages and experience levels.
